Families who want a daily Bible habit together often lose the window to school, sports, and bedtime. Lectio for Families, from 24-7 Prayer, offers a free 5-to-10-minute pattern for the table, the car, or bedtime.^1
24-7 Prayer is the international prayer movement Pete Greig began in 1999.^3 The family resource adapts Lectio Divina into a P.R.A.Y. rhythm: Pause to be still, Rejoice with a memory verse and Reflect on a short Bible passage, Ask God for help, and say Yes to His plans.^2 Each day includes a weekly memory verse, a New Century Version reading, a discussion question, and prayer prompts, in text and audio.^1 Weekly themes follow the church year, including Advent and Lent.^2 Through the year the themes also return to six practices: prayer and creativity, justice and hospitality, and learning and mission.^2 Adults and children in the 24-7 Prayer movement write and read the devotionals, aimed at ages 7–11 and usable with slightly younger or older kids.^2
It lives on the web beside Lectio 365 for adults and stays free.^1
