Looking for a family-friendly game that brings the Bible to life? DvG: Conquering Giants drops you into the sandals of young David in a physically immersive VR experience built by visual effects artists who worked on blockbuster films like Avatar, The Avengers, and The Hobbit.^1
You start as a shepherd protecting your flock from wolves, lions, and bears — swinging a sling with your own arms, dodging attacks, and using the environment to your advantage. Master these challenges, and you'll face off against a towering Goliath in the Valley of Elah. The game features two difficulty modes (casual and intense), online leaderboards, and 20 total levels with bonus challenges beyond the main campaign.^2 Available on Meta Quest (3S, 3, Pro, 2), Steam VR, and as a free mobile version on iOS.^3
Created by Jarom Sidwell of Immersive History and published by Virtuous VR Gaming in collaboration with Visually Linked Bible (VLB), DvG was designed to offer wholesome, high-quality gaming that tilts the scales away from morally degrading content. The Immersive History team has also contributed 3D work to The Chosen, National Geographic, and CBN's Written in Stone documentary.^4 Bill Issler, founder of Virtuous VR Gaming, partnered with Kevin Nguyen, former executive at Saddleback Church, to bring the vision to life.^1
Why Christians Love It"This is the best game on here hands down. My family and I finally have something to enjoy that comes straight from the word of God, The Holy Bible. It doesn't get any better than this."^2
"We used DvG at a church youth event and it was a huge hit! We cast the gameplay to a TV so everyone could watch the action and get excited for their turn."^2
"Each level teaches you a principle of life that David probably had to learn as well."^2
