For many churches, the gap between a generous heart and a completed gift is wider than it should be — a fumbled login, a forgotten checkbook, a clunky web form. Pushpay exists to close that gap, giving churches a complete digital engagement platform that makes giving, connection, and community management seamless.^1
Founded in 2011 in Auckland, New Zealand, by Chris Heaslip, Pushpay started as a mobile giving app and has grown into a full church technology suite trusted by more than 14,000 churches — including Elevation Church, Austin Stone, the Diocese of Nashville, and St. Isidore Church. The platform now spans digital giving (with QuickGive via Apple Pay and Google Pay, text-to-give, stock and crypto donations through Engiven, and the proprietary Everygift® technology that automatically recovers at-risk donations), a church management system with AI-powered people search and process queues, custom branded mobile apps with group messaging and volunteer scheduling, engagement analytics, and Resi livestreaming for broadcast-grade reliability.^1
In 2019 Pushpay merged with Church Community Builder to unify giving and church management. In 2021 they acquired Resi Media for livestreaming. In 2023 they were acquired by BGH Capital and Sixth Street. And in December 2025 they launched AI capabilities across their entire suite — including AI for Giving Data (ask your data questions in plain language), AI for People Search, and Genny, a 24/7 church software assistant.^3
The scale of impact is remarkable: over 53 million gifts processed in 2025, 1.8 million first-time givers welcomed, more than $1 billion received in December 2025 alone, and group participation surging 22% year-over-year across their network. Catholic parishes using ParishStaq imported 5.6 million sacramental records and recorded 53,000 new sacraments through the platform in 2025.^4 Their 2026 State of Church Technology report with Barna Group — surveying 1,306 church leaders — found that 95% of leaders view digital tools as beneficial for ministry.^5
Why Churches Love It"Before Pushpay, we were less than $100,000 a year. After the first year with Pushpay, giving jumped to $120,000, then up to $200,000, then $360,000, and this last year, giving was over $500,000 received through Pushpay. The system does a lot of the work." — Chris Kozlowski, St. Isidore Church^1
"We have everything from our livestream to giving to small group signups to prayer concerns being shared with our app. It has become our single most important resource for communicating our mission & ministry to our people!" — Jim White, First United Methodist Church of Palmdale^1
"There is so much potential for amazing data mining and being able to really catch people falling through the cracks before they fall all the way out." — David Miller, Asbury United Methodist Church^1
