Looking for a safe online world where your kids can play games, make friends, and grow in their faith? Lightgliders is a virtual world of Christian faith, games, and community built specifically for kids ages 6–14.^1 Co-created by Zach Fay and Derek Holser — Fay a Regent University grad with a heart for discipleship during the critical pre-teen years — Lightgliders has reached more than 100,000 kids across 100+ countries since launching in 2009.^2
Inside the game, kids create a character, explore the world of Glideon, play dozens of mini-games (Bible trivia, platformers, puzzles, retro classics), attend virtual Bible studies and prayer meetings, journal, and complete weekly missions tied to Scripture.^3 A safe, moderated chat system with pre-approved phrases lets kids connect without worry, and parents receive weekly emails with the biblical themes, reflection questions, and conversation starters.^3 The platform promises no ads, no negative content, and no in-game purchases or micro-transactions.^3
Lightgliders is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry operated by Made to Shine Inc. out of St. Louis, Missouri.^4 Beyond the game, the ministry includes The Gliddle Podcast on Spotify and the Lightglider Origins book series published by New Growth Press — middle-grade fantasy fiction rooted in a biblical worldview, with two books now available: Bryce and the Lost Pearl and Tambika and the Shield of Wisdom.^5
Why Christians Love It"This game has a lot to offer, but the main reason I signed up — it's safe! NO ADS!! I love that the content is Christian and my kids are learning Scripture and asking good questions about creation and what's right or wrong and why." — Play Store review^6
"We have debated trying Minecraft, but this seems to be the perfect alternative option! I love that there is a Biblical focus each week. The conversation ideas and verse help make the game a fun addition to our homeschool!" — App Store review^3
"Some of the things I do in Lightgliders, I start to do in real life… I learn about God more and start to do those things I learn." — John, age 8^1
