If you're a man struggling with pornography and feel like you're fighting alone, the Live Free Community App was built for exactly that moment. Founded by Carl Thomas — an ordained pastor, certified Neuro Health Coach, and former porn addict himself — Live Free provides a private, judgment-free space where men can be honest about their struggles and find real support.^1

The app functions as a full social network designed around recovery. Members get custom profiles, direct messaging, personalized feeds, and the ability to search for other men in their area for in-person accountability. Weekly audio and video content from community hosts offers practical teaching on breaking free, while free and premium courses go deeper into the roots of addiction and shame.^2 A team of over 20 small group hosts — including licensed therapists, pastors, and recovery coaches — facilitates regular groups through the companion Small Groups Online program.^1 Churches can also partner with Live Free to create private groups for their men, complete with leader training and a branded landing page.^3

Carl Thomas spent 17 years in the for-profit sector before transitioning to full-time ministry. After building Small Groups Online, an online recovery-focused small groups program, he launched Live Free Ministries in 2019 to bridge the gap between the millions of men who want help and the safe community they need to find it.^4 He's also the CEO of XXXchurch.com and author of "When Shame Gets Real."^1 The ministry expanded with Live Free Wives, a free support community for spouses impacted by sexual betrayal, led by Melissa Ruff.^4

Why Men Love It

"I joined a group in Live Free Ministries 4 years ago. I had never experienced anyone talking about their experience with porn. It was something I had just struggled in silence with for 20 years. The fellowship I entered with guys that had freedom and others searching for freedom was life changing." — App Store review^5

"This app has definitely helped me add more accountability, encouragement, and prayer to my daily rhythms. I have been through long periods of sobriety before that were more of a white knuckle experience. This has felt different, this has felt like learning how to breathe." — John^2

"This app has very likely saved my marriage and spared my kids the trauma that all of that entails." — Salvatore^2

"It's guilt and shame that hold you there and God's Grace and Mercy that bring healing and forgiveness. This app gives you resources and accountability that works to live free of porn." — App Store review^5
