Ezra Bible App

If you want topical Bible study without leaving the text, Ezra Bible App lets you tag verses by theme, keep two levels of tag groups and tags, write notes on verses and whole books, and search both installed modules and the passage you have open.^1

The app is free and open source. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chromebooks, iPhone, and iPad, and it uses SWORD translation modules from CrossWire so you can study in many languages.^1 Strong's Dictionary and Bible commentaries are built in, with light and dark themes, CSV and Word export, and Dropbox sync across devices.^1 The Word Study panel can show morphological detail, Vine's Expository Dictionary, and how often a Strong's number appears, and you can add custom SWORD repositories.^3

The interface is localized to English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Ukrainian, and Russian.^1 Tobias Klein named the project after Ezra 7:10 — For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel — and publishes it under the GPL-2.0 license on GitHub.^1
