FreeShow is a free, open-source presenter that churches use to put lyrics, scripture, and media on the big screen.^1 Live Church Solutions, a 501(c)(3) ministry, builds it so congregations can spend money on mission instead of presentation licenses.^3
It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.^2 You can drive multiple outputs, send video over NDI, stack backgrounds and overlays, add countdown timers, and play YouTube or Vimeo from the program.^4 Scripture search covers more than 200 Bible versions through API.Bible, and you can import local files or bring in libraries from ProPresenter, EasyWorship, PowerPoint, OpenLP, and OpenSong.^4
Cloud sync is free through a ChurchApps account, so volunteers can share shows across computers.^6 FreeShow Remote on iOS and Android lets a pastor or worship leader preview and control the service from a phone or tablet.^7 The project began in late 2021, with a first public release in February 2022, and development is still active.^2
