Donkey Mobile gives each congregation its own branded iOS and Android app, published under the church's name, plus a web app.^1 Henrik Wienen founded the Netherlands company so churches could meet the mobile standard people expect from everyday apps.^3
Members share a personalized timeline, group messages, calendars, a directory, and notifications. Engagement uses faith, hope, and love buttons inspired by 1 Corinthians 13 instead of likes.^5 Donkey Chat keeps one-to-one encouragement inside the church app.^6 Giving works in-app, by QR code, or Donkey Touch stickers, with no commission on donations. Churches subscribe; features and updates are included.^7
Donkey Inspire offers devotionals, Bible studies, theology, podcasts, and youth material to follow together.^9 After a livestream, Donkey Echo posts key points, reflection questions, and a sermon summary. That feature uses generative AI; live testing of the output was out of scope.^10
More than 600 churches run a Donkey Mobile app. The team also acquired Kerkdienstgemist, Klaas Jan Wierenga's Dutch church livestreaming platform, so streaming can sit beside the same digital home.^3
