Selah delivers the Bible one chapter a day, entirely by email. There is no app to open and no streak to keep: one chapter arrives in your inbox, and the next one follows when you reply. Miss a day and the same chapter simply comes back.^1
You run it by replying. Reply to move on, reply with notes and they are kept as a journal you can search later, and use settings replies to jump to a book or chapter, change Bible version (KJV or BSB), move your delivery window, split long chapters into parts, or pause on weekends. Every chapter names the version it uses.^2 Founder Mercurius Saad built the first version at the start of 2026 for his fiancee, when both of them kept starting the Bible and not finishing.^3 The site's changelog shows work still landing in October 2026, including a student discount and steadier handling of split long chapters.^4
Beyond the daily chapter, the Selah website offers a verse of the day^5 and verses gathered by topic,^6 plus free tools that need no subscription: a short quiz for where to start reading, a calculator for how long the Bible takes at different paces, and a personalised reading plan generator.^7 You can also connect Selah to ChatGPT or Claude to see your reading progress and notes there; the connection only reads your progress.^8
Selah is a subscription. The first 14 days are free, with card details asked for up front, a choice the founder explains in his letter: free things are easy to abandon. After the trial it renews yearly unless you cancel, and students in the UK get half price for the first year. Current pricing is on the site.^1 Signing up uses a Google account.^9
