Sanctuary is a general-purpose AI assistant built for Christians, answering everyday questions from a Christian worldview grounded in Scripture rather than treating faith as neutral. People use it for Bible study, prayer, parenting, recipes, career advice, homework, and work, and they can set one of 10 denomination perspectives, including Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Anglican, Pentecostal, Reformed, and Non-Denominational.^1
Its tools include AI chat in several modes, including a Deep Research mode that searches the web and builds a cited report, Bible study with cross-references and historical context, a prayer journal, daily devotionals, voice conversations, and faith-inspired image creation.^3 The site says every response passes through its Christian worldview approach, and Scripture is presented in the ESV by default in its launch material.^4
Sanctuary Kids is a dedicated mode for ages 8 to 16 with PIN-protected parental controls, full chat transcript access for parents, screen time limits, and content filtering, and the safety page publishes rules that include no data selling and redirecting children to their parents on mature topics.^5 For church leaders, Sanctuary offers ministry tools for preparing sermons, lesson plans, and other ministry content, a line the company promoted for pastors and church staff in May 2026.^6
Founded by August Milazzo, also the founder of ClientsIO, and based in Irvine, California, Sanctuary launched publicly in April 2026.^4 When a referred friend or family member subscribes, Sanctuary says a tree is planted through Plant With Purpose, a Christian nonprofit.^2
