Psalmlog is a voice and text journaling practice that puts what you are facing next to Scripture. Speak or type an entry and the app returns a six-point reflection: affirmation, Scripture, reflection, prayer, encouragement, and a next step you can walk out.^1 Higher plans remember more of your prior entries so guidance can build over time, with a Walking It Out tracker, an insights dashboard, and a Spiritual Pulse.^2 The web app is free to start; iOS and Android add voice journaling, Psalmcast audio devotionals, Bible translation choice, and offline capture that syncs when you reconnect.^2^4
The YouVersion tie-in runs deep: Psalmlog connects to YouVersion, the Bible App, so you can read the whole Bible inside Psalmlog free on every plan (46 versions, 7 languages) and your highlights sync two ways -- highlight a verse in the Bible App and it shows up in Psalmlog; highlight one in Psalmlog and it appears in the Bible App, with nothing ever deleted in either direction. Tap any passage and choose Reflect on this to open an entry with the verse already tagged and a question drawn from that passage, and the Verse of the Day waits on your dashboard with one tap to read the chapter or journal from it. Sign in with YouVersion or connect it to an existing account.^9
Each reflection can become a Psalmstory drawn from the guidance rather than your original words.^2 Psalmlog's statement of faith treats the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God, affirms the Trinity and the deity of Christ, and says guidance stays with sola scriptura.^6 Its FAQ does not treat the Book of Mormon or the New World Translation as Scripture, and presents the app as a complement to church.^7 Terms point people in crisis to emergency services and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.^8
Notable- Muse by Psalmlog won the $10,000 Gloo x YouVersion New Frontiers Prize (chosen from 365 entrants and 75 submitted projects): a free companion at muse.psalmlog.com where you connect Spotify or paste a song and see where Scripture speaks to the themes underneath your music -- every verse arrives word-for-word from YouVersion, and readings can be shared as Muse Cards.^10
