her.BIBLE is a free audio Bible from Cru that lets women hear Scripture read by an ethnically diverse group of women.^1 Jenny Steinbach, a longtime Cru staff member, started the project after years of listening to audio Bibles voiced only by men.^2
The English edition uses the New Living Translation. In the app, listeners can follow along as the words highlight, pick up where they left off, jump to a book, chapter, or verse, save passages, and change playback speed.^3 The web player also lets them build custom Scripture playlists.^4
The ministry lists recordings in several languages, including a Spanish edition at herbible.es, plus a coaching workbook for teams who want to record in another language.^5 A YouVersion plan invites listeners into the same women's-voice audio.^7
New listeners can start in the Gospel of Luke with a short guide.^8 The team also hosts her STORY, a podcast of conversations with women living out God's Word, and Listening Groups around the audio.^9 Giving through Cru keeps the app and site free.^10
