Ever feel like your Bible reading stays at arm's length — informative but not quite personal? Jesus Spoke was built for believers who want to move beyond simply reading about Jesus and start sitting with the words He actually said.^1
Created by designer Emilio Meza — a California Baptist University graduate who previously served as a UX Designer and Brand Manager at Elevation Church — Jesus Spoke is a daily devotional website that walks you through the words of Christ using a simple three-part rhythm: Read a passage from the Gospels (CSB translation), Reflect on its original meaning and how it applies today, and Respond with a short spoken liturgy as an intentional act of obedience.^2 New devotionals are delivered each morning at 8 AM ET via SMS, making it easy to build a consistent habit without another app cluttering your phone.^2
The project draws inspiration from the "Power of 4" study by Back to the Bible, which found that engaging with Scripture four or more times a week leads to measurable life change — including being 228% more likely to share your faith and 59% less likely to view pornography.^2 With over 70 beautifully designed devotionals covering passages from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the site pairs rich visual imagery with thoughtful commentary that makes each day's reflection feel fresh and inviting.^1
Why Christians Love ItJesus Spoke launched in October 2024 as a personal project that quickly grew into something bigger. As Emilio shared: "What started as a simple habit has quickly grown into something much bigger. I hope these devotionals, alongside your own studying of Scripture, draw you closer to Jesus than ever before."^2
