Ever tried to share the gospel with someone whose worldview is completely different from yours — and felt like you were speaking two different languages? That's the challenge Perspective Cards was built to address.^1
Created by Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), Perspective is a deck of 54 cards designed to open up natural, non-threatening spiritual conversations. Instead of launching into a gospel presentation, you lay out cards across five categories — the nature of God, the meaning and purpose of life, human nature, who Jesus is, and the source of spiritual truth — and invite the other person to pick the card that best represents what they believe. Then you ask why.^2
The genius is in the listening. Rather than a one-way presentation, Perspective flips the script: the other person does most of the talking. As they work through the categories, they often realize they haven't thought deeply about the biggest questions of life — and that self-discovery opens the door to share the Christian perspective in a way that feels like dialogue, not a lecture.^3
Perspective was born in Puebla, Mexico, when Cru staff member Barry Warren was walking home one night and asked God for a new evangelism tool. God immediately gave him the idea for "Choose Your Own Religion" cards — which he developed over two years into the polished deck used on college campuses worldwide today.^3 The free app faithfully reproduces the physical card experience on your phone, making it easy to carry this conversation starter everywhere — no deck required.^1
Why Christians Love It"This is truly a revolutionary tool for evangelism. Perspective Cards allow the game-player to do most of the talking, which normally opens him up to hear the Christian viewpoint. Get the tool and use it — it's terrific!" — iOS user^4
"I've never talked about religion before without feeling judged or like someone was shoving a Bible down my throat." — A friend after playing Perspective^5
"It's a great resource to start conversations and to outreach/evangelism. Super easy to navigate and doesn't need data or wifi!" — iOS user^4
