Ever had a Bible question you couldn't quite find the right answer to — maybe something that kept nagging at you during a sermon, or a verse that didn't sit right until someone walked you through it? GotQuestions.org exists for exactly that moment. With over 10,000 biblically grounded Q&A articles covering everything from salvation and theology to practical Christian living, it's become one of the most trusted Bible answer resources on the internet — averaging 22 million pageviews per month and over 2.5 billion total pageviews since launching in 2002.^1

What makes Got Questions different from a random Google result is the team behind it: a staff led by founder S. Michael Houdmann (Bachelor's from Calvary University, Master's from Calvary Theological Seminary, Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at DTS) alongside over 200 volunteer writers who collectively review every answer for biblical and theological accuracy.^2 The content is evangelical, theologically conservative, and nondenominational — designed to come alongside the Church, not replace it. Beyond the website, the ministry spans a network of sites including BibleRef.com (verse-by-verse commentary), CompellingTruth.org (discipleship and worldview), 412teens.org, GQKidz.org, and a podcast — plus content translated into 205 languages with 79,000 pages of translated material reaching the global Church.^3

Founded in late 2001 when Houdmann felt God's call to help people find Bible answers through the internet, the site launched in February 2002 and was receiving 30 questions a day within the first month. Today it averages 100 personally submitted questions daily, with 185,000 email subscribers to its weekly Question of the Week.^3

Why Christians Love Got Questions: "I thought I would share that your website was a contributing factor in my salvation 3 years ago. My pastor spoke today about the testimony of believers and I realized I never contacted anyone to thank them. So thank you! I'm now in Bible College."^4 Another visitor shared: "I just wanted to express my gratitude. I had been struggling deeply with depression... The answer to 'why should I not commit suicide?' was very comforting to me when I was at my lowest point. I would read it multiple times a day. Since then I have experienced a lot of healing. God has restored my joy and usefulness."^4 Pastors rely on it too — one chaplain with 25+ years in ministry wrote: "I truly believe that GotQuestions.org is the best theological website available. I have read, studied, and cited countless articles. It is my 'go to' place for reliable teaching and insight."^4

The Got Questions app brings the full article archive to your phone with offline access, built-in search, bookmarks, and the ability to submit new questions directly. Available on iOS and Android, it's been actively updated through December 2025.^5
