Getting kids to sit still for Bible time is one thing — getting them to actually love it is another. Bible Kids solves this with a free, ad-free app packed with beautifully animated films that bring Scripture to life in a way children genuinely want to watch again and again.^1
Built by BCC Media, a non-profit media foundation within Brunstad Christian Church (BCC) — an international evangelical free church and member of the Christian Council of Norway — Bible Kids offers animated Bible story episodes across multiple series, including "Bible Heroes of Faith," "Bible Stories with Simon & Sarah," "Jesus Our Savior," and "Bible Verses Explained for Kids." Content is organized by age group: Juniors (3–6), Explorers (6–11), and Tweens (12+). The animations use a playful but respectful style that keeps kids engaged without ever being irreverent.^2 Beyond the app, Bible Kids runs "Explorers Time Travels," an interactive concept for Sunday schools where children solve challenges as they journey through Bible stories — tested on thousands of children across hundreds of Sunday school groups worldwide.^3 The concept has grown into full-scale "Bible Kids Days": during BCC's Easter 2026 conference, around 1,500 children gathered at the Oslofjord Convention Center to watch the Elisha and the Chariots of Fire film, then stepped into an interactive recreation of the biblical town of Dothan — complete with archery, an obstacle course, a marketplace, and live animals — staffed by roughly 130 volunteers.^4 Local congregations host their own Bible Kids Days as well, combining teaching, film, music, and activities.^6
The team behind Bible Kids has been producing children's media for over 10 years, combining film industry experience with creativity from the games industry. Their milestone productions include the Noah — A New Beginning musical, a full feature-length production that premiered at BCC's summer conference in July 2025 and is now available in the app dubbed into multiple languages,^7 and Elisha and the Chariots of Fire, a 15-minute animated film that premiered in May 2026 and is available on YouTube and in the app in 15 languages.^8 Their vision statement says it all: "Our vision is that the children will have Jesus as their best friend — for the rest of their lives." The Bible Kids YouTube channel has grown to 215,000 subscribers with millions of views worldwide, and the app offers around 70 animated films available in over 15 languages.^10
