When emotions run high and the words won't come, Prayer Library meets you right where you are. This free mobile app helps Christians find written prayers and Scripture passages that speak directly to what they're feeling — whether that's joy, grief, anxiety, or anything in between.^1
Browse by emotion using emojis or type in how you're feeling, and Prayer Library surfaces relevant prayers paired with Bible verses. You can build custom prayer lists for specific situations, track your emotional history, and set a daily check-in reminder to keep your focus anchored in Scripture.^2 A September 2026 update added a YouVersion Bible integration that lets you change the version and language of the Scripture passage for each prayer.^2 With over 200 prayers to explore and new ones being added, there's always something fresh to discover.^1
Created by Lucas Hintz Marins, a software engineer based in British Columbia, Canada,^7 who runs Contemplative Software.^2 Prayer Library grew out of a personal conviction: that sometimes we need to lean on the words of others to remember God's truth for us.^3 What started as a capstone project at BrainStation in 2023 has become an actively maintained, donation-supported app with no ads and no paywalls.^3
