Pastors pour hours into sermon preparation each week — writing, refining, researching — only to watch their message fade from memory by Monday. Church.tech was built to change that. Now part of the Gloo platform as Content Studio, it's an AI-powered content engine that takes your sermon and transforms it into a week's worth of content: transcripts, summaries, discussion questions, social media clips, devotional plans, and more.^1
Upload a sermon recording or paste raw text and Content Studio handles the rest. The platform auto-generates short-form video clips optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts — complete with a built-in clip editor — so your message reaches people where they scroll.^2 Content Studio also includes engagement analytics, team collaboration, social media scheduling, custom sermon pages, and faith-safe AI guardrails designed for ministry contexts.^2
Founded by Josh Burnett, a former church planter who started Revolution Church in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009, the platform grew out of Burnett's earlier venture Flourish — a nonprofit volunteer matching platform.^3 The idea for AI sermon tools came when an engineer on the Flourish team realized they could repurpose their AI technology to listen to sermons and generate content. "We designed it so that it's completely useless without the pastor," as Burnett has explained — the tool amplifies your voice, it doesn't replace it.^4
Church.tech is the official AI partner of Carey Nieuwhof, one of the most influential voices in church leadership today. Together they created AICoPilot.church, a resource hub offering free AI prompts and tools specifically for church leaders.^5 Nieuwhof endorsed the platform directly: "If you've got questions on where AI fits in ministry, you can be confident that Church.tech is safe, responsible and gives you information you can trust."^1 Josh Burnett also contributes regularly to the Gloo blog and appeared on the Focus on the Family Pastor to Pastor podcast discussing AI and ministry.^6
Why Churches Love Content Studio"Content Studio has been a game changer for our church. It saves us 10 hours a week and allows our staff to be more focused on people," shared Scott Ancarrow, Lead Pastor at The Foundry Church in Baltimore.^2
"Content Studio empowers us to return to what ministry is all about — people. By saving us hours every week, we have more time doing frontline work — reaching the lost and making disciples," shared another ministry leader.^2
