Worship Serve was co-founded by husband-and-wife duo Julie Anne and Erick Vargas. Julie Anne is a former worship leader at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in South Florida and a Liberty University music graduate who also ran the worship leader nonprofit Village Hymns for five years.^2 Erick brings a software and entrepreneurship background — he's also the CEO of Follow Up CRM — and together they launched Worship Serve in 2022 to solve a problem Julie Anne lived firsthand: the stress of finding last-minute musicians for Sunday services.^2 As of July 2024, the platform had served about 200 churches, sent out over 1,200 musicians, and maintained a roster of roughly 300 musicians across 10+ cities.^2
They've also launched a companion job board at jobs.worshipserve.com for full-time and part-time worship positions, helping churches and worship leaders connect beyond one-time fill-in gigs.^3
