Want to share the Bible with a friend but not sure where to start? The Word One to One walks you and a companion through John's Gospel and the book of Acts, one verse at a time, with built-in notes that guide your conversation along the way.^1

Founded in 2006 by London businessman Richard Borgonon after witnessing a skeptic's questions dissolve within the first four verses of John's Gospel, the resource has grown into an international evangelism tool used across six languages — English, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Burmese, and Ganda — with new translations being added regularly.^2 The app breaks each book into bite-sized "episodes" of around 30–45 minutes, featuring verse-by-verse layout, maps, historical context, word definitions, Old Testament cross-references, and clear summaries at the end of every session.^3 Co-authored with Dr. William Taylor, the notes let any Christian — regardless of training — open Scripture with a friend and let God's Word speak for itself.^2

The Word One to One is completely free, and the content is also available as physical books through The Good Book Company and 10ofthose. There's no guru or teacher dynamic — just a "guide" and a "guest" reading Scripture together.^1

"This has been fantastic to read through the gospel of John with an unbelieving friend! The format, notes, definitions, historical background and dates, and summaries are clear and concise and very doable for two busy moms."^3

"A simple, effective and creative tool to read through John. The app gives important and helpful insights and is easy to use to walk with non-Christians or new Christians alike. A gift to the Church!"^3
