The app gathers Koukl's weekly radio and video podcasts, STR's daily blog, the weekly featured article, a selection of Solid Ground publications and mentoring letters, and essential articles on topics key to defending Christianity.^3 Stand to Reason University extends that training beyond the app: it is a free online program of short, interactive, and engaging courses designed to produce an effective ambassador for Christ, including Engaging Jehovah's Witnesses, Unbreakable: A Clear Case for Biblical Inerrancy, and Building the Body.^4
Greg Koukl founded Stand to Reason in 1993 and currently serves as president. He has spoken on more than 90 university campuses in the U.S. and abroad and has hosted his own call-in radio show for over 30 years, advocating for "Christianity worth thinking about."^5 His books include Tactics, Street Smarts, and The Story of Reality.^5 In a Biola Think Biblically conversation about Street Smarts, Koukl explained the approach behind the training this way: "Before you can have a harvest, you always have to have a season of gardening."^6 Senior apologist Alan Shlemon is the ministry's president-elect, while Koukl continues as president.^7
