Streamlingo helps churches welcome people who do not share the speaker's language. It is a live AI translation platform for services, events, and lectures: connect the room's audio to a computer, start a session in the browser, and show a QR code. Guests scan it on their phones, pick a language, and listen through their headphones, with no app to install.^1
Output covers 80+ languages as spoken audio and as a live transcript, and captions can be added to a livestream as a browser source in OBS, vMix, or ProPresenter.^2 Streamlingo 2.0 detects the spoken language automatically and speaks in a voice that matches the speaker.^2 Organizers can also bring in their own human interpreters, one browser link per language, or stream the original audio.^1 The site says data is not used for AI training and a data processing agreement is available.^1 A free plan includes one hour of AI translation a month, two hours are available to try with no card required, and subscription plans cover regular services.^1
The work began in 2024 in the church of Tim's father in Karlsruhe, Germany, where there were no interpreters and anyone who did not speak German caught only half of it.^3 Tim built what was missing. Tim-Cedric Inhoff is Streamlingo GmbH's managing director,^4 and Elly and Tim are named as its founders in a KIT interview.^5 In that interview they explained their focus: "For us, that’s church communities – and it’s precisely this focus that helps us to be better than the competition."^5 The team now lists eight people, the site says 250+ organizations use the platform, and 200+ churches use it weekly.^3^1 Their stated passion is helping churches reach people from all nations with the Gospel.^1
