My Shepherd is a Bible AI chat app that answers questions in plain language with Scripture from the King James Version, cited chapter and verse so you can read the verses for yourself. You can ask a follow-up, use the "Go Deeper" option, or ask about a passage while you read: the built-in Bible reader lets you tap a verse and choose "Ask My Shepherd about this verse," and the reader itself works offline, while AI explanations require an internet connection. A personal journal sits alongside the reader for notes, prayers, and daily devotional reflections, and journal entries stay on your device rather than syncing to a server.^1
The app presents itself as a study companion, not a replacement for Scripture, prayer, or trusted spiritual counsel, and it notes plainly that AI explanations can make mistakes. Its terms ask users to verify every response and Bible citation independently.^1
