The Family ID Assessment is a free, about-ten-minute family inventory that helps a household notice its unique identity and start talking about where it is headed together.^1 Greg and Rhonda Gunn founded Family ID in 1997 after leading families in their church through weekend experiences to write a family vision and goals; the work became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2003.^3 The ministry's vision is a foundation for many Godly generations by guiding families to discover identity in Christ, and its mission is to help them name their unique identity and purpose, create a lasting legacy, and develop leaders who strengthen families.^3
The current site frames that work as a 100-year family vision across spiritual direction, relational strength, financial stewardship, and missional impact, and invites families into a community of households committed to living with intentional direction.^3 Beside the assessment, Family ID points people to a free masterclass, YouVersion plans, and books, plus an iOS companion app with teaching from Greg Gunn on restoring relationships, training a child's heart, and planning a family's future.^3^5^7 FamilyLife Today and Oklahoma City's MetroFamily have covered the Gunns' family-vision workshops.^8
