Air1 is a free worship music radio app for listeners who want curated worship through the day instead of an algorithm-driven playlist. It streams Air1, the worship network from K-LOVE, Inc., the nonprofit media ministry founded in 1982 as Educational Media Foundation and also behind K-LOVE.^4
Air1 relaunched with a focus on contemporary worship music on January 1, 2019, after more than 20 years playing Christian hits.^5 In the app you can listen live, create a list of favorite songs, discover Air1 stations in your city or while traveling, and see what song is playing in the quick access player bar.^2 A giving tab in the bottom navigation lets listeners donate to support the ministry.^2
Beyond music, the app has a prayer community where you can request prayer and pray for others, with a notification when someone responds to your request.^1 It also offers a daily Verse of the Day to see and share, performances and articles from favorite artists, and biblically based life and faith resources.^1 The iOS app is available in English and Spanish and also runs on Apple TV.^2
The story behind Air1 is the story of its parent ministry. K-LOVE, Inc. began in Santa Rosa, California, with a single radio station, and today owns and operates K-LOVE and Air1, described by the ministry as the world's two largest Christian music radio networks, with more than 1,100 broadcast signals across all 50 states, led by CEO Tom Stultz.^4 In December 2024 the ministry dedicated its new Ministry Center in Franklin, Tennessee, a 166,000-square-foot facility with ten studios for live broadcasts of K-LOVE, Air1, and AccessMore podcasts.^6
