Every Day with Jesus is a free daily Bible devotional app from Waverley Abbey Trust, continuing notes Welsh minister Selwyn Hughes began writing for his congregation in 1965.^1 Hughes founded Crusade for World Revival and wrote over fifty Christian books. Former Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey described him as a "giant in the faith."^2
The first printed edition went out free in 1967. Over the next forty years the notes spread across the UK and around the world, with an estimated peak of two million readers. Email editions and new contributors arrived later; the free mobile app launched on 1 January 2024.^1 In its first year more than 25,000 people in 137 countries had downloaded it.^3
